Workers’ Compensation
Specialized care for Workers’ Compensation injuries…
Seamless coordination helps workers get top-quality care.
When employees are injured on the job, the goal is to get them back to work in a safe and timely fashion. Yet coordinating care and information between physicians, therapists and case managers in different locations can extend claim times and increase costs.
The Indiana Orthopaedic Center Workers’ Compensation department, along with our physicians and physical therapists, delivers all the services and care your client or patient needs. Everything is coordinated by our in-house case manager who provides clear, concise reports within 24 hours of each visit.
Your clients always have easy access to The Indiana Orthopaedic Center’s board-certified physicians and dedicated physical therapists. We offer patient care from any one of four convenient locations.

A single contact who keeps you informed every step of the way.
You’ll have one central contact who keeps all parties informed, coordinates communications and expedites a smooth return to work. Knowledgeable and experienced in Workers’ Compensation issues, we report within 24 hours of your client’s initial visit. Our report will include an overview, summary and clearly defined goals. We’ll then provide updates after each appointment. And we’ll always be available to answer your questions, so you’ll know just where your client stands and how care is progressing.
Responsive medical evaluations & care to speed recovery.
If your clients are injured in the workplace, you’ll want them to be cared for by highly skilled and experienced physicians who understand Workers’ Compensation, just like the board-certified orthopaedic surgeons at The Indiana Orthopaedic Center. They are on the medical staffs at Community North and East, Hancock Regional and Riverview Hospitals. So a physician is always available for a thorough evaluation and the expert, compassionate care your clients deserve. The physicians at The Indiana Orthopaedic Center are board-certified and fellowship-trained in several orthopaedic subspecialties and can treat virtually any orthopaedic condition.
Experienced physical therapists get your clients back to work quickly.
If physical therapy is required, your client may also receive care at The Indiana Orthopaedic Center’s Physical Therapy Clinic. It is staffed by dedicated therapists who will help your client return to work quickly and safely. Our therapists know Workers’ Compensation issues and treat the full range of work injuries, including complex postsurgical rehabilitation. To speed the process, your client will be cared for by the same experienced, supportive therapist at each visit. And since our clinic is located on-site, our physicians are just steps away.
Work conditioning & functional capacity evaluations with personal treatment & results.
Our case worker will obtain your client’s job description, and a physical therapist will then tailor a treatment plan to match the skills your client needs to perform his or her individual job. We can also perform a functional capacity evaluation (FCE) to measure your client’s physical abilities, endurance level and capabilities to help ensure a safe return to work.
Keeping up with changing Workers’ Compensation issues.
As members of the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Institute, we stay current on Workers’ Compensation laws and issues so we can continuously institute best practices and deliver top-quality Workers’ Compensation care.
