Meet Our Doctors
Brett R. Fink, MD, FAAOS, FAOFAS
Orthopaedic Surgeon
”Most people take their mobility for granted, until they suffer problems that prevent them from walking or enjoying life. At that point, people are often scared and vulnerable. When they turn to me for care, I welcome them with the patience, understanding and attention they deserve. In fact, being a physician has helped me become a better listener, and it has made me much more understanding of other people’s problems.
”My job as a physician is to listen carefully to my patients, deliver quality care and educate them on health issues. Education is an important part of the healing process because patients are less fearful when they understand what is happening in their bodies. By taking the time to explain the problems my patients face and carefully reviewing treatment options with them, I ease their fears and increase compliance.
“I think it’s also important to keep learning, evolving and bringing new therapies to treat people in need. I was honored to be the first physician in Indiana to perform a Tornier Salto Talaris™ ankle replacement surgery. I also perform complex foot reconstruction surgeries that no one else in our area performs.
“It’s such a pleasure to be able to meet people with foot and ankle problems, deliver quality care and see the positive effect it has on their lives.”
