Meet Our Doctors

Ralph H. Kahn, MD

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Ralph H. Kahn, MD“I grew up in a family of healthcare professionals, so medicine was a natural choice for me. I decided to become an orthopaedic surgeon after breaking my hand as a young man. That personal experience taught me just how much a trained physician can help others.

“My goal as a physician is to provide expert and compassionate care to every patient I treat. That begins with careful listening, a humble attitude and spending as much time as needed to deliver the care and education each patient deserves. Personalized care is a mark of true respect for a patient and his or her family members.

“Of course, nothing is more important than acquiring and maintaining the necessary skills to care for patients. That’s why I’m so dedicated to remaining in the vanguard of orthopaedic care. I’ve been at the forefront of minimally invasive partial knee and hip replacement surgeries and have performed more than 250 of these procedures, helping people live fuller, more productive lives. That’s a wonderful feeling.

“I feel a great sense of accomplishment when my patients recover and say ‘Thank you.’ Caring for others is rewarding in many other ways, as well. Perhaps the greatest reward is that being a physician has made me a more compassionate human being with a deeper understanding of the struggles people face every day.

“Simply put, practicing medicine and caring for people in need has given deeper meaning to my life.”
