Meet Our Doctors
Edward P. Todderud, MD, FAAOS
Orthopaedic Surgery
“Being a physician and seeing the pain and stress that injuries, arthritis and other orthopaedic problems cause has allowed me to view people in a different and fuller perspective, and I’m very thankful for that. The realization of how these conditions impact my patients has driven me to strengthen my surgical skills and be the very best physician I can be. I owe them nothing less.
“I have a deep respect for my patients, many of whom are seniors who want to regain their mobility so they can continue to help their families and lead full and active lives. So I spend a lot of time listening as they describe their symptoms and how they impact them. To me, that’s an important part of the diagnostic process that fosters doctor-patient bonding.
“I also enjoy educating my patients about anatomy, their specific conditions and any diagnostic procedures or surgeries they may need, so we can move forward together. Having this understanding puts patients at ease and makes them more compliant. Patient education is an important part of medicine, and one many practitioners overlook in today’s rushed environment. I’m pleased to belong to a practice that takes a slower, more personalized approach to care.
“My professional mission is to alleviate suffering and improve the lives of my patients, so I feel a great sense of joy when I see them once again healthy
and happy.”
